OSU: Children’s Jubilee – Magical Fairy Tale Adventure Held 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Heritage Center (105 N 100 E, Cedar City); $5 for adults & children are FREE with an exchange of 3 cans of food for our local Care and Share. Designed for children and their families making this perfect for a winter outing for children of all ages! The theme is fairy tales; from classics such as Hansel and Gretel, Swan Lake to more modern tales such as Peter Pan and The Lord of the Rings the Orchestra is excited for an afternoon of fun, adventures, and magical music that will have everyone’s favorite stories come to life before their eyes. Starting at 1 pm, the Heritage Center lobby will be transformed into a whimsical story book scene. During this time there will be a variety of activities such as a photo booth, instruments for the children to try out, Face Painting, Coloring Pages, and animals. Doors to the concert hall open at 2:00 p.m. where the Orchestra will play whimsical pieces. This concert, the Orchestra will also be joined by a children’s choir that will navigate the audience to Neverland and tell the story of Peter Pan with narration by Desmond Penny. The orchestra will also join the Hobbits and join the Fellowship of the Ring and journey into the forest with Hansel and Gretel. Following the concert there will be more activities such as science experiments, music, and art activities from 3 – 4 p.m.
