Lunar Eclipse at Ashcroft Observatory (745 S Hillcrest Dr, Cedar City), admission is FREE. The doors will open at 8:00 pm with the start of the eclipse happening at 8:30 pm. Total eclipse (where the Moon turns red) will start at 10:12 pm and end at 10:40 pm with the last shadow passing at 12:40 am. Depending on weather the entire eclipse should be visible for the whole night! We will have various telescopes set up as well as some access to our large dome telescope! All ages are welcome and the best part is this is all free! So come on out and learn some fun moon and eclipse facts while watching this amazing event unfold!
