CEDAR CITY,UT – From snowshoeing through the back country of Brian Head to kicking back in a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snowy forest; southern Utah has the perfect getaway for you this holiday season. So pack up your mittens and snow pants, don’t forget the kids and escape into a memorable winter wonderland abode.

Southern Utah is the perfect combination of the happiest memories and the happiest snow on Earth. Our winter agenda is packed full of family friendly events and activities to give one just that. Start the holiday season down in Cedar City with the Festival of Trees beginning Friday November 28th at the Stonehaven Events Center. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Christmas décor, food, a Santa meet-n-greet and much more! Continue on your holiday celebration with Parowan’s Christmas in the Country. Festivities will take place on November 28-29th at the Iron County Fairgrounds. Christmas in the Country will include live music, holiday bazaars, Santa and candle light parades along with much more. For the first time ever this year Christmas at the Homestead will span over the entire week of December 8-13th. Enjoy “Christmas of Yesteryear” the frontier way with hands on activities and a visit from a very special guest. While visiting Cedar City make sure to check out The Glacier for a couple spins on the ice. The Glacier community ice rink is the ideal winter evening hangout that is perfect for family and friends.

Ascend your way up the Parowan Canyon and into the snowy peaks of Brian Head Resort. There is much to look forward to every winter season from racing down one of the resort’s slick tubing courses to launching into southern Utah’s only Bag Jump, the small historic ski town has got you covered. Don’t miss out on the famous fireworks and torchlight parade this New Year’s Eve at the Giant Steps Lodge followed by a party to bring in the New Year! While in Brian Head guests can also swing by Brian Head Outdoor Adventures and spend the day snowmobiling through the Dixie National Forest or checking out the scenery with a special snowcat tour or sleigh ride.

No matter the holiday chill or thrill southern Utah has the perfect holiday escape for all of your family and friends.
