SUMA: Spring Breakout Art Camp – (Monday – Friday) This program features fun, half-day art discussion and making experiences for K-6th grade students. Each day focuses on a different theme and includes age-appropriate, hands-on art projects inspired by artworks in the galleries and collections. Grades K – 2nd from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Enoch City: Easter Egg Hunt held 6:00 pm at the Enoch City Office (900 E Midvalley Rd, Enoch), open to children 11 yrs and under. Arrive early because the hunt happens fast! Sponsored by the Enoch City Police Department. For information call 435-586-1119.

Frontier Homestead: Children’s Story Time held 10:00 am at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum (635 N Main St, Cedar City), admission is FREE. This is an opportunity for preschool children to learn about the past through stories and history-related activities. Filmmaker Sheida Soleimani: Medium of Exchange – Screening: The Department of Art and Design and Southern Utah Museum of Art are excited to welcome artist and filmmaker Sheida Soleimani to present on her exhibition, Medium of Exchange. Ms. Soleimani will be screening a film portion of the exhibit at 6:00 pm with a second screening at 7:00 pm in the SUU – Sterling R Church Auditorium (351 W University Blvd, Cedar City), a panel discussion and Art Insights seminar will take place tomorrow, April 18, at 7:00 pm, and her exhibit will be on display at the Southern Utah Museum of Art through May 3.

Bigger Than Me: The Telling by Maureen Einfeldt enjoy the staged reading by the Women of Will at 7:30 pm at the Courtyard Cedar City (1294 S Interstate Dr, Cedar City), tickets are $5 at the door. This collection of tellings brings awareness to domestic violence and its victims. After the reading there will be a script signing with the author.

Filmmaker Sheida Soleimani: Medium of Exchange – Panel Discussion & Art Insight: The Department of Art and Design and Southern Utah Museum of Art are excited to welcome artist and filmmaker Sheida Soleimani to present on her exhibition, Medium of Exchange. National Park Week, a Fee-Free entry to the National Parks. To encourage Americans to explore America’s natural beauty, rich history, and culture; admission is FREE to National Parks, National Monuments and all National Park Service sites.

Cedar City: Easter Egg Hunt begins at 9:00 am (SHARP) but you will want to arrive early, in the Cedar City Main Street Park (corner of 200 N & Main St), meet the Easter Bunny and take part in the Easter Egg Hunt with over 18,000 eggs filled with candy. Brian Head Resort Winter Closing Day as with anything else, all good things must end. Come grab your last runs of the season and head up Cahir Two around 3:45 pm to grab a last picture with some of Brian Head’s biggest die-hards to say a final goodbye to the 2018/19 winter season!

Master Singers Easter Concert held 7:00 pm at the Heritage Center Theater (105 N 100 E, Cedar City), admission is FREE and open to everyone. The Easter Concert will present a full score of great songs which celebrate Easter in a wonderful way. Families are encouraged and invited to come and hear the men sing with joy from their heart.

SUMA: Senior BFA Capstone Exhibition held Monday – Saturday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm at Southern Utah Museum of Art – SUMA (13 S 300 W, Cedar City), admission is FREE. This exhibit showcases the culmination of the undergraduate art studio experience for graduating students and includes work from a variety of artistic disciplines: art education, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, illustration, photography, painting, drawing, and printmaking.
