Thanks to our high elevation (we range in  elevation from 5,000 ft to 10,000 feet above sea level), we have  sports venues and facilities that provide a cooler-weather experience for tournaments and high-altitude training opportunities for skiers, cyclists, and endurance runners. Several premier western states events have been held in Cedar City over the years, including Tour of Utah Road Cycling Race, Belgian Waffle Ride, Utah High School Cycling League State Mountain Bike Championships, and WERoc Crawling National Championships.
